'Lovecraft Country' Creator Misha Green To Make Feature Directorial Debut With The Next 'Tomb Raider'

Misha Green, the co-creator of Underground who also adapted and helmed Lovecraft Country at HBO, is continuing her push onto the big screen.

She will helm the next Tomb Raider installment for MGM, which will see Alicia Vikander return. Not much else is known about the film.  It would be Green’s feature directorial debut. She’d write the flick as well.

Aside from this, she sold the film The Mother to Netflix, which she wrote, and is producing the films Cleopatra Jones (Warner Bros.) and The Gilded Ones (Makeready).

Vikander first appeared in the role in 2018 with the titular film, which grossed $250 million globally. This film will be released via MGM’s United Artists Releasing while Warner Bros. will distribute it internationally.

Deadline broke this news.
