Mariah Carey Is Working On Adapting Her Memoir For TV Or The Big Screen And Could Direct It

Mariah Carey has revealed she’s bringing her autobiography to the screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carey revealed during an interview with the outlet about her Apple+ Magical Christmas Special that she is in talks to turn her New York Times bestselling memoir, The Meaning of Mariah, into a film or limited series.

Carey also hinted that she could be hinting at it. “Me, and a secret friend of mine, are talking about that and what it would look like,” she said regarding the project. “People have also been reaching out to me about it…people I haven’t heard from in years saying this has to be a series or a movie or whatever it’s going to be. These things take a long time, so it’s going to be what it is, but I believe in it. I’m really looking forward to it even just as a viewer, seeing these stories come to life.”

Mariah Carey’s Christmas Special is currently streaming on Apple TV+.
