Michael B. Jordan partners with Turner Sports and Invesco QQQ to bring HBCU basketball classic to hometown

Actor Michael B. Jordan has recently partnered with Invesco QQQ and Turner Sports to present the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic, formerly the Hoop Dreams Classic.

Games will take place Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Jordan’s hometown.

Other partners include WME Sports, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, and Scout Sports and Entertainment.

This classic will showcase men’s basketball teams from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The classic will feature a doubleheader between Hampton University versus North Carolina Central University, and Howard University versus North Carolina A&T airing on TNT.

In addition to the basketball games, the classic will also feature a band showcase, college and career opportunities, and live performances.

Tickets for the basketball portion of the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic start at $25 and went on sale Thursday via Ticketmaster.com and Prucenter.com

Addition programming will be announced in the coming weeks.
