Michael B. Jordan to Make Directorial Debut in Creed III

Creed III is coming and Michael B. Jordan — People magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ — will make his directorial debut in the film in addition to reprising his role as Adonis “Donnie” Johnson Creed, Apollo Creed’s son.
His co-star, Tessa Thompson, made the announcement during a joint interview with MTV News alongside her Sylvie’s Love costar Nnamdi Asomugha.
Thompson jokingly added that she hopes that the PEOPLE magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ will tone down the sexiness on set.
“It’s gonna be ammo, I think, for me when he is engaging with me as a director,” Thompson said of Jordan. “I’m just gonna tell him to dial down the sexiness.”

“We’re not gonna make [the film] until later [next] year,” the actress, who plays Adonis’ love interest Bianca, added. “who knows what happens? … I don’t know if he’ll still be the ’Sexiest Man Alive’ in six months. It could be Nnamdi [Asomugha].”

Ryan Coogler directed the first installment of the sports-drama film which was released on November 25, 2015, the 40th anniversary of the date of the opening scene in 1976’s Rocky. The film reunited Jordan with Coogler who wrote and directed 2013’s Fruitvale Station.
Jordan won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding actor in a Motion Picture for his role.

The sequel, title Creed II, followed with a release in November 2018.

The franchise film also features Sylvester Stallone who reprises his role as Rocky Balboa, Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris, Tony Bellew, and Graham McTavish.
