*Naomi Campbell has addressed rumors of a feud with Rihanna that emerged following a viral video from New York Fashion Week.
In an interview with The New York Times, the supermodel emphasized her commitment to not pitting two Black women against each other, stating, “We are two women with two children, mothers,” she said, The Independent reports.
The speculation arose after a video from the Alaïa spring 2025 show on September 6 showed Rihanna arriving last and greeting a man seated near Campbell instead of acknowledging her. This led fans to believe there was tension between the two. Watch the moment via the X video below.
“Naomi Campbell and Rihanna really do hate each other,” one X user wrote, while another added: “The way they were looking at her with awe or waiting for her acknowledgment.”
A third person said: “That was cold. I felt the tension through my phone.”

Famed celebrity stylist Law Roach later posted a video of himself with Campbell and said, “We don’t go to shows like the other girls. We don’t come with our ta-tas out or our chi-chis out.”
Fans believed they were subtly shading Rihanna’s barely-there ensemble at the fashion show. “If y’all mad she ignored y’all just say that. Very cutesy,” one Instagram user commented.

Meanwhile, Campbell is currently caught up in a media firestorm surrounding her foundation, Fashion for Relief. The charity has come under scrutiny for mismanaging funds, which led to her being banned from the board of trustees for five years.
“I just found out today about the findings, and I’m extremely concerned, and we are investigating on our side as I was not in control of my charity, I put the control in the hands of a lawyer,” Campbell said in response to the controversy.
“And so we are investigating to find out what and how, as everything I do and every penny I ever raised goes towards charities,” she added.
