Naomi Grace Combats Sexism On The Football Field In Tubi Original Film ‘Gridiron Grind’

A high school girl challenges expectations on the football field in the Tubi original film, Gridiron Grind.

The film stars Naomi Grace as Riley Brooks, a young athlete who aims to make it as the only female on her all-male football team at her predominately white school. As the battle against sexism and stereotypes heats up, so does her love life as she begins to question her sexuality.

More about the film according to the film’s writer Jade N. Richard Craven via IMDb:

A guarded high school female football player fights sexism, sibling rivalry, and self-acceptance on and off the field. While Riley Brooks navigates rejoining the team at the varsity level and striving to win the school’s first championship in decades, her complex relationships with a secretive love interest, her feminine mother, and her changing male teammates prove even more challenging.

Sharon Leal co-stars as Grace’s mother, Dr. Candace Brooks. Keith Arthur Bolden also stars as Riley’s father, Ronald Brooks, with Elshaday Aredo as Riley’s sister Tyler. Mirella Cardoso plays Riley’s love interest, Paige Morales. The film is directed by Kevin Arbouet.
