Netflix's Colin Kaepernick Scripted Series Reportedly Threatened By The Proud Boys

Production on Netflix’s upcoming show Colin in Black and White is reportedly being threatened by The Proud Boys.

According to TMZ, production was notified that the Proud Boys were planning a protest during the shooting of the show, getting a memo that “anti-BLM sentiments may protest against the production.” The protest did not happen but the set still took precautions.

In addition, production sources told TMZ Sports there was also an ominous phone call made last week to production offices.

Colin in Black and White will be directed by Ava DuVernay and will explore the life of Colin Kaepernick in his high school years and the touchstone moments that inspired his stance on racial justice. Kaepernick will narrate the series and Jaden Michael will portray Kaepernick.

The series was created by Kaepernick and Ava DuVernay. Michael Starrbury writes and serves as executive producer, alongside DuVernay and Kaepernick.
