‘New York Homicide’ Preview: Brutal Murder Of A Gay Man From Queens Explored In This Week’s Episode

Shadow and Act has an exclusive sneak peek at an upcoming episode of Oxygen‘s New York Homicide.

The new episode, titled Shine a Light on Hate, premieres this Saturday, August 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Here’s an official description:

New York Homicide “follows Robert Boyce as he dives deep into some of the worst murders that shook the city to its core. This season delves into 20 cases ranging from the seemingly accidental death of a  successful banker, the murder of a well-connected realtor with ties to Hollywood and the shooting of a  retired law enforcement officer in Brooklyn, among others.”

The new episode follows “Julio Rivera’s sister-in-law, and the director of a documentary on his life and death, and his friend” as they “talk about the overwhelming support of the LGBTQ+ community that came out to march in the wake of Julio’s tragic death. People came out to protest the violence and share their outrage over Julio’s murder in Jackson Heights, Queens.  The attention put pressure on the NYPD to catch Julio’s killer.”
