*The NFL is pulling out a different playbook to bring in more viewers, with a little help from NBC. According to Cassius Life, the small screen outlet will bring in seven social media influencers for the task.

The influencers, which include Allison Kuch, Jack “Chef Cuso” Mancuso, Erika Priscilla, JoJo Sim, Austin Sprinz, Pierson Wodzynski and Nate Wyatt, will hail from locations ranging from Kansas City to Sao Paulo to Detroit.

According to NBC Sports senior vice president of consumer engagement Lyndsay Signor, an upward shift in younger viewers and women is the end zone the channel is making a run for.

“We want to reach Gen Z and millennials, and we also want to bring in women as well,” Signor told Variety.

Signor added: “With all of the creators, we have a really diverse group,” adding that even casual viewers now have “an opportunity to really get a little bit of a taste of what we can offer at NBC.”

NBC’s alliance with social media influencers stems from a similar concept it utilized during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

To generate non-sports fans, 27 influencers with big followings on Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, and Overtime were recruited, with the idea “to talk to people who maybe weren’t following the Olympics “or “necessarily watching them in primetime.”

Whether the influencer playbook yields big results for NBC remains to be seen. The 2025 NFL football season is currently underway as teams work to prove themselves in what looks to be a competitive highway on the way to headlining next year’s Super Bowl.
