North Carolina A&T showed the country this week — and quite frankly all season — that it’s more than an FCS football power.
The Aggies stole the show during the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday.
The group finished the weekend with four top-four placements in both the women’s and men’s championships — the only program in the nation to pull off the trick at the event.
Former Olympian and head coach Duane Ross led the men to a third-place finish, the highest ever for a D1 HBCU, and the women to a fourth-place finish.
After it was over, the social media world showered North Carolina A&T with enormous praise.

Ross’ son, Randolph, ran the third-fastest time in NCAA history to win a national championship in the men’s 400-meter dash.

Not to be outdone, Cambrea Sturgis blazed to wins in the women’s 100-meter and 200-meter finals to take home individual titles.
