The first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs is underway and right in the middle of it all was one of the best basketball coaches in the country.
North Carolina Central men’s basketball coach LeVelle Moton and his son VJ made an appearance at PNC Arena Raleigh to participate as the first-period siren sounder before Game 2 of the Carolina Hurricanes-Boston Bruins series.

Wearing a home Hurricanes jersey, Moton whipped the crowd into a frenzy while he generate noise from the contraption that blared out the area siren sound.
It was one of many honors Moton has received recently in his hometown. Last year, the longtime Eagles coach was featured in a mural depicting him with all the championships he’s won as a coach. Just last month, a park was dedicated to the coach.
