Prairie View to host dual mega football camp with Deion Sanders

The Prairie View A&M Panthers head football coach Bubba McDowell is set to host a joint football camp with Colorado coach Deion Sanders.

The camp is for high school students and will take place on June 1 on Prairie View A&M’s campus.

This is McDowell’s second football camp and the first joint camp as he enters his second season as Prairie View’s head coach.

Also featured at the camp will be Norfolk State, Alcorn State, Grambling State, Alabama State, Arizona State, and Georgia Tech, among others.

During his time at Jackson State, it was not uncommon for Sanders to collaborate with fellow SWAC coaches and schools for football-related events.

Last year, he hosted a joint pro day along with Alcorn State head coach Fred McNair and then-Mississippi Valley State head coach Vincent Dancy.

When he accepted the job at Colorado, he brought along Dancy as an assistant.
