'RHOSLC' Star Mary Cosby Charged With a Misdemeanor For Sheltering A Runaway Minor

Mary Cosby is back in the news and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is not currently on air. Cosby is known for her controversial marriage to her step-grandfather – and statements about race that have gotten her severe backlash from viewers. But this time around, she’s making headlines after being charged with a misdemeanor.

Cosby recently appeared in court for allegedly sheltering a runaway minor. The famous First Lady entered a not guilty plea. The courts are accusing her of contributing to the delinquency of a child that she allegedly allowed to stay at her home for a period of time.

The alleged offense reportedly occurred on April 8, 2021. Crosby insists it’s a misunderstanding, with her rep telling E! News: “Mary is saddened that she was dragged into another family’s domestic situation but is confident that this misunderstanding will be cleared up soon.”

Cosby says she is innocent. Screen Rant reports that Cosby is said to be saddened over the ordeal.

Cosby isn’t the only star of her franchise who is in legal trouble. Jen Shah is facing charges of fraud. She is accused of running a telemarketing scheme and stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the elderly. All of the legal drama is set to play out on the upcoming sophomore season of the show, which is currently filming.

Shah is reportedly the first housewife in history to be arrested during filming. Shah was arrested while filming a scene with her co-stars, so fans are looking forward to seeing it unfold. A source claims that she’s “not holding back” when it comes to sharing the situation on screen. The upcoming season is set to be jampacked with drama. Shah was caught in two leaked audio scandals in addition to her arrest. She’s facing 20 to 30 years in prison if found guilty.

The new season of RHOSLC is expected to premiere later this year.
