Tennessee State basketball is scheduled to appear on ESPNU

The Tigers of Tennessee State men’s basketball team will once again be introduced to a national audience when they are featured on ESPNU for their April 29 matchup against the Little Rock Trojans.

This is the first time Tennessee State has appeared on ESPNU since February 23 of last year when they defeated UT Martin 88-82 on the road.

The televised matchup is part of the Ohio Valley Conference slate of nine games (six regular season and three OVC Tournament games) to appear on ESPN.

According to the OVC, for the second consecutive season, a wild card selection process was implemented by the OVC to ascertain this season’s linear broadcast. Game selections were settled upon and disseminated.

In addition, all seven OVC women’s basketball tournament and men’s first-round and quarterfinal tournament matchups will be on the network.

Tennessee State has a 16-12 overall record and is tied for first place in the Ohio Valley Conference at 9-6.
