Tennessee State home opener postponed due to winter storm impact

NASHVILLE – Tennessee State’s 2021 Ohio Valley Conference home opener versus Jacksonville State has been postponed due to the winter storms in the Tennessee area, the school announced Wednesday.

“As the director of athletics, I’m responsible for making decisions that are in the best interest of our student-athletes and the university,” said Dr. Mikki Allen. “The snowstorm has had an impact on our field and presents safety concerns due to unplayable conditions. At no point will we ever compromise the health, safety, and welfare of our student-athletes.”

The game has been rescheduled for March 7.
