These 5 Sports Drinks Will Keep You Hydrated All Winter Long

Most people think that dehydration only occurs in hot weather — but did you know you can get dehydrated in cold weather too? In fact, you’re actually more likely to become dehydrated in the winter. Besides the fact that you’re probably drinking less water, holiday party season also increases your alcohol consumption. Not to mention, breathing in the dry winter air increases moisture loss, increasing your risk of dehydration after doing intense physical activity.

Dehydration when it’s cold happens for a number of reasons. Cold weather moves blood and other body fluids from your arms and legs to your core, increasing your urine output. It also decreases your body’s thirst sensation, which is normally an early sign of mild dehydration. Other signs of dehydration include headache, dry mouth, fatigue, muscle cramps, constipation, dry skin, and feeling dizzy or light-headed.

Here a few drinks that will keep you hydrated all season long — especially while you’re getting your summer body ready in the gym.
