Whitney Houston and The Notorious B.I.G. will have their legacies cemented in the prestigious Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! The organization announced the 2020 class, which also included Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails and T.Rex.

When the news was first announced last summer, Rufus ft. Chaka Khan were amongst the nominee class for the sixth time but fell short of securing enough votes to join this year’s inductees. To be eligible, each nominee’s first single or album had to be released in 1994 or earlier.

There are no words on who will perform the tributes on behalf of Houston and Biggie, but for the first time, the 35th annual ceremony will air on television on May 2, on HBO.
