We’re coming upon a one-year anniversary nobody in the world wants to think about: the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic shutdown. At the top of that list of people who don’t want to be reminded — if we’re speaking in terms of first-world problems alone — are single women who SNL hilariously pointed out last night haven’t had a man touch their butt in a year.
Ego Nwodim stars in the segment alongside Saturday Night Live guest host (and one of our favorite British baes) Regé-Jean Page. In the spoof which musical guest Bad Bunny and fellow SNL cast member Pete Davidson later join, Nwodim tries to throw it at Page in a night club only to realize she’s really at home on her couch, fantasizing about seeing the cutie in real life because…quarantine.
Hugging plants, looking wild about the eyes (and hair), and chasing fictitious men only scratch the surface of this funny, yet eerily accurate take on how we’re all coping — or not — during the pandemic. And, of course, Twitter agrees.
