*It’s barely two months into 2024 and social media is already blasting a questionable prediction. Citing a TikToker named J. Stanza, Madame Noire noted “predictions” made by the user at the close of 2023.
Among the items in the user’s forecast was an increase in age-gap dating in 2024, a notion Stanza claimed he called out first, with it affecting mature white women and young black men.
“In 2024, older women are only going to date younger men. Straight up,” Stanza said in his Dec. 21, 2023, post. “It’s going to be out in the open. Ain’t going to be no hiding this shit.”
“In 2024, you’re going to see older white women with young hood niggas. I promise you,” he continued. I’m not talking about no ratchet white women. I’m talking about women who live in good neighborhoods, nice neighborhoods. Women who just divorced their husbands. When the kids go off to see their dad, she going to be chilling with a young hood nigga, I promise you.”
As he expounded on his prediction, Stanza detailed the type of black men that would catch the eyes of experienced white women. Those men included ones who smoke blunts while sporting ski masks and puffy jackets.

“They’re going to be dating dudes who drive SRTs (Dodge Charger), Scat Packs (Dodge Charger), Corvettes, all that hood s***. I promise you, no cap,” said Stanza, who captioned his post in one sentence.
“2024, Imma have me a cougar,” he wrote.
Although Stanza’s prediction may raise an eyebrow for some, May-December romances are nothing new. The age gap dating term is defined as a relationship with a significant age gap, Madame Noire explained.
For younger daters, a 5-15-year difference could be substantial (i.e. an 18-year-old dating a 23-year-old). With a 40-year-old dating a 45-year-old, the opposite reaction over the same difference could occur as it may seem insignificant.
Meanwhile, others generally consider a May-December relationship to range from 10 to over 50 years. Notable May-December relationships include Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons and Baby Phat founder Kimora Lee Simmons (14-year age gap) and Jay-Z and Beyonce (12-year age gap).
Through the years, social media has embraced May-December relationships. Stanza is no different with his support of it on TikTok and the common sight of it throughout the entertainment industry.
In its annual study predicting the following year’s dating trends, the dating app Bumble discovered that after surveying more than 26,800 users globally, 63% of users removed age from the equation when finding love for 2024. In addition, the study found that 59% of the women on Bumble are more accepting of dating someone younger.
For women, the dating pool narrows as they age when looking at a potential partner’s age. However, their options increase when removing that factor.
So, what say you? Do you feel J. Stanza is on to something with his 2024 prediction about May December romances between older white women and younger black men? Or is it simply nothing to be concerned about, considering how accepted it is in this day and age? Scroll down to weigh in.
