*Trey Songz remains embattled in a legal case involving an anonymous woman who claims the singer raped her at a house party in 2016.
The woman initially filed a $20 million lawsuit last February but it was dismissed in November after Songz’s team successfully argued that her claim was past the statute of limitations. According to Rolling Stone, the woman has refiled the lawsuit in Los Angeles.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims she was anally rapped by the artist inside his home on March 24, 2016. The alleged victim said she initially had a consensual sexual relationship with the singer but Songz became a “savage rapist,” on the day of the alleged attack, the woman said in the lawsuit, Complex reports.
According to the lawsuit, Songz later harassed the woman at a New Year’s Eve Party, allegedly calling her a “slut” and a “liar”. He also had security kick her out. Jane Doe claims she moved to another state out of fear of Songz.

Here’s more from Complex about the rape case:
Songz is being sued by a Jane Doe who claims that she went to one of the artist’s house parties in 2016. She alleges she was invited upstairs and then raped by Songz after she told him she did not want to have anal sex. The woman alleges Songz removed her pants when they got to the room, held her down, and forcibly inserted his penis into her anus. She also said that she screamed throughout the alleged ordeal and begged for him to stop. The woman also alleges that she went to the hospital and was too frightened to name the artist after she was examined. She said the examination found that there was “severe anal tearing that could require surgery.”
A representative for Songz denied the allegations to TMZ.
The lawsuit also mentions members of Trey’s team including his manager Kevin Liles, 300 Entertainment, and Atlantic Records.
Jane Doe released the following statement to Rolling Stone via attorney George Vrabeck: “This case is much more than about one singer and one viciously abused sexual assault survivor who has the courage to take action,” Vrabeck said.
“It’s also very much about the systematic sexual abuse in the music industry and the music industry’s complicity in silencing sexual abuse survivors. It’s virtually impossible to believe that those executives are not and were not aware of the institutionalized sexual abuse,” Vrabeck added.
Jane Doe reportedly noted in the legal docs that Songz had at least 10 other sexual assault allegations made against him in the past.
