The saga continues.
The Weeknd delivers more thills in the action-packed video for “Blinding Lights.” The cinematic clip serves as a sequel to the chart-topping “Heartless,” which dropped last month.
It opens with a bloody Abel laughing before flashing back to him stumbling through the Las Vegas streets while reliving his wild night. The XO crooner races through the streets of downtown L.A. in his drop-top Mercedes and shows off his Joker-inspired dance moves while donning a red blazer and smoking a cigarette. After dancing with a gorgeous woman, the night ends with him being assaulted by two men, but he is somehow able to find humor in his tragedy.
“Blinding Lights” can also be heard in the Mercedes-Benz EQC campaign, for which The Weeknd serves as creative director.
The Uncut Gems actor will perform his latest single on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday night. He previously performed “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless” on “The Late Show” last month.
