We’re Getting A Clark Sisters Biopic And We Have Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliott To Thank!

Over the last year, The Clark Sisters have found themselves in the news, a bit more than usual. Not surprisingly they reminded everyone just how iconic they still were after more than three decades at Aretha Franklin‘s funeral and social media let Wendy Williams have it for insinuating the sisters weren’t legendary (she since apologized but, it fell flat) earlier this year.

Now Lifetime will bring the story of Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Jacky Clark-Chisholm, and Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark-Terrell to the small screen with the help of some very famous friends. Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott and Mary J. Blige have signed on as Executive Producers of the upcoming movie. Watch the announcement below.

No other details have been released but we’re sure Missy, Mary and Queen will do our legends justice.

TELL US: What would you like to see from the movie?
