Wiley College mourns the passing of assistant athletics director Winston Robinson

Wiley College assistant athletic director Winston Robinson died Tuesday at the age of 68.

The school’s athletic department issued the following statement:

It is with great sadness that the Wiley College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announces the untimely passing of Assistant Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Winston Robinson.

Robinson was an 11-year employee at the institution. He began his career with the college as the Director of Auxilary Services and in 2018, accepted a position as the Assistant Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Kerl Nathaniel, Interim Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and close friend of Robinson, describes him as someone who was consistently a source of encouragement. He recounts that Robinson’s nurturing disposition inspired those who were fortunate to know him.

“He was an individual who poured knowledge into me and those he knew,” Nathaniel said. “He made me a better man.”
