3-star FBS running back transfer entry commits to Jackson State

Jackson State has fielded yet another FBS transfer this offseason as Akron running back Clyde Price III has announced his commitment to the team.

The Class of 2019 three-star recruit joins Jackson State as a graduate transfer with two years remaining eligibility.

Beginning his college career at Kansas State, Price played sparingly in his two seasons with the team, only seeing the field on special teams.

Price got his first action on offense in 2022 in his first season at Akron. He compiled 309 rushing yards on 99 attempts and scored seven touchdowns, adding 31 receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown.

After not appearing in any games during the year, he entered the transfer portal following the 2023 season.

Price joins a Jackson State team with a running back room that features FBS transfer Irv Mulligan, who had a breakout year for the Tigers in 2023.
